Although yoga can be the best medicine to boost our immune system and support our health, we recognize that there is serious concern about the coronavirus going around our country and the world. Although it is not yet in Williams that we are aware of, we are working to implement the Center for Disease Control’s prevention protocols, and asking all students do the following:
First and foremost, please stay home when you are sick, even if you feel you are not contagious, we want an environment that feels safe to all our students.
Upon arriving to the studio for class, please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. When necessary, cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands before touching any loaner mats or props.
Wash your hands after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, cough, or sneeze.
We will avoid any partner work for the time being.
It is highly advised to utilize your own mat. If you do borrow our mats, please be sure to spray them down generously after your use.
Please also feel free to bring your own blanket and your own pillowcase for the bolsters. We want everyone to feel safe, so please do what you feel is best for you.
Please also wash down any blocks you use with the provided cleaning cloths and disinfectant.
DAILY DISINFECTANT PROTOCOL
On a daily basis, our team will be disinfecting door knobs, bathroom fixtures, toilets, etc. We will be washing all blankets, bolster covers and blocks over spring break and will wash them often as well as spraying down the bolsters.
For now, we will continue to use the cloths that are and have always been used one time only and then washed. Please use them to wash not only loaner mats, but also the blocks you use. We will be increasing the potency of the disinfectant in the spray bottles. As much as we have worked to decrease our trash load, we will adjust to only having paper towels in the bathroom for now as well.
Thank you in advance for your prevention efforts. It is of utmost importance to us that everyone feels safe coming to class, while we remain a great resource for our community to boost their health and well being. That being said, we will abide by these protocols as well.
